The Mori Dress take 2.

Here's another version of the E & E Patterns Mori Dress.

This is a size 7 for Miss L. I used cotton twill again and used only a single layer on the flounce so it wouldn't be too stiff. I'm thinking I'll trim the flounces with lace for the next one I make.

I can't wait to make a few more of these, maybe for Easter? Probably solids and florals because those are so pretty together.

Miss L was happy to have these pictures be over because it is COLD outside. Oh the woes of being a blogger or photographer's child. :)

A break between storms.

We were stuck inside today because of the nasty weather. So I finished up testing a pattern for Elegance and Elephants

This is the Mori Dress Pattern and it is adorable! The pattern releases this Monday and it has been so fun seeing all the versions that the other testers have created.

This is a size 5 and fits miss B perfectly. I used a nice sturdy twill which drapes nicely. The bodice is lined and showcases princess seams so you could go to town with some fun pops of color by using piping. Maybe I'll try that on the next one I make.

Even though the weather kept us indoors for most of the day we were able to run outside to sneak a few pictures before the rain started up again and we caught the tail end of a rainbow! So pretty.

Hope you're having a wonderful week.

A little shop update...

I let my etsy shop slide to the side after Christmas. I had grand plans to sew up tons on pretty things but I needed some time to decompress after an absolutely insane holiday season, I'm you can all relate! Well, I'm back and have stocked the shop with more infinity scarves and a few blanket scarves. I am very excited about the blanket scarves as they are made from Robert Kauffman flannel which means they are deliciously soft and so warm.

It's not quite as big as a full blanket scarf, but can still be worn so many different ways. The dimensions are 70" x 20".

The colors are gorgeous. I am a complete sucker for anything teal or turquoise. I left the edges raw and hand frayed them. I did a stay stitch along the edges so the flannel wouldn't fray too much.

I have a few more colors to add later this week. I am also offering 10% off through the month of February with the code THANKYOU10. You can find my shop here. Happy February!
